About the Author
Farah Yurdozu is a leading UFO researcher and author of several bestselling books. Fluent in Turkish, English, and Spanish, she is known on several continents as an authority on alien abductions, the paranormal, and the metaphysical. A Grimoire Of Another Kind

I began reading books on the subject of UFO's and aliens in the mid-sixties and have followed the formulation of the "we are not alone" in the universe scenario from its humble beginnings. As one would expect from any new field of study the early UFO enthusiast initially desired acceptance and respectability from both the academic community and the public-at-large. This meant they had to produce hard physical evidence for their claims which then had to be analyzed and interpreted through the lens of the sacred cow of the twentieth century, the scientific method. So the search for spacecraft and its occupants began along with the hasty development of whatever theories necessary to support claims of extraterrestrial visitation and involvement on planet Earth. However with the passing of time and the amount of published material multiplying there has been an undeniable shift in focus from the original premise of Ufology. For lack of better terminology I'd call it a shift from 'hardware to software'. The days of pursuing concrete answers to the UFO - Alien phenomenon via conventional nuts and bolts methodology have apparently come to an end. The efforts to replicate the design and engineering of alien craft, mathematically resolving distance, energy and time problems and searching the skies for probable planets that could sustain advanced life forms have been brushed aside. The metaphorical ship has changed course and sailed off in a different direction for destinations unknown.
Within the last twenty-five years or so, bolstered to a great extent by the works of Whitley Streiber, the ET hypothesis has evolved into an ever darkening inter-dimensional mysticism comprised of runic crop circles, human abductions and cattle mutilations. All of which was confusing enough before adding into the mix the occasional appearance of Bigfoot, Mothman, skinwalker, fairy folk and assorted spirits of the dead and departed. One would think this has got to be about as deep as this rabbit hole can go, right? Wrong. Just when I thought things couldn't get any weirder along comes 'Love In An Alien Purgatory' by Farah Yurdozu and David Huggins. This slender, over sized paperback consisting of a mere 67 pages will only take about 20 to 30 minutes to read, depending on how much time you spend absorbing David Huggins artwork. However if you're anything like me these haunting, often times disturbing images will stay with you long after you finish. The old saying "A picture's worth a thousand words" was never more true.
These lifelong encounters endured by David Huggins transcend the field of contemporary Ufology, harkening back to a more ancient, magical worldview. This is particularly so in the area of inter-species intimacy and eroticism. The connections with Celtic and Scandinavian fairy brides and Fairyland abductions, global shamanic journeying and transformation and the more frightening aspects of possible demonic succubus deception will no doubt be bothersome to some readers. If there's one thing you can't fault David for is his honest and candid presentation of the facts as he knows them. One thing is certain, this book will not languish away in your bookcase. You will pull it out on a regular basis to revisit this unique, hypnotic and highly personal Otherworld.
Each painting is accompanied by a short commentary consisting of David's fragmentary memories of the encounter depicted in that particular work. His remarks are brief and to the point. There is no unsubstantiated conjecture or rambling analysis of what might have been taking place. There is no effort to provide a context, or outside form of validation. David's art and memories are laid bare before the reader leaving any final conclusions up to you. Hopefully this intermingling of divergent traditional streams of thought and belief won't weaken the books impact or desirability on its potential audience. I hope it strengthens it. Thank you David for this amazing visual document and special thanks to Farah Yurdozu for exhibiting the restraint and wisdom to let the paintings and memories speak for themselves without trying to force them into a more conventional framework or serve a private agenda. Truly 'Love in an Alien Purgatory' is a ground breaking work and unquestionably the first pictorial 'Grimoire' in UFO literature.

Most Horrifying Abduction Experience Ever

This is the most horrifying abduction experience ever depicted. It is basically standard alien abduction scenario presented by abducted himself. Some paintings are so amazingly mundane but with the slight "off" to them. Like for example there is picture of a house and the boy kneeling in front of it. Everything looks OK but there are few legs of alien creatures behind the house. Those are the things that are most scary.
David Huggins never went through hypnotic regression process so his memories of his traumatic experiences are raw as they can be.
All images are explained and it is great how Farah Yurdozu is guiding us trough the experiences of David Huggins.
It doesn't meter if it is true or not, this book is an amazing representation of american folklore art and with the strong science fiction background this collection is a great art history piece.
