About the Author
As an avid baseball fan, R.E. McComsey took up the avocation of an umpire and has been licensed in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, and South Carolina. His many years of officiating at several levels, including Little League, Babe Ruth, High School, American Legion, Men’s Senior Baseball, as well as watching and observing hundreds of games, has provided him the basis for many of the situations provided in his stories. He has also mentored and assisted in the training of other umpires, as well as players and coaches. He is a father of four, grandfather of five and resides with his wife in South Carolina where he is an ordained deacon, Sunday school teacher, men’s Bible study facilitator, and a purchasing professional.
